Video Creation Tips
Additional tips to understanding YuJa Lumia's Video Editor
Lag Issues in Playback
Possible Reason #1: The recording was created using an older version of YuJa Software Capture. This older capture version can sometimes lead to processing/playback inconsistencies. The recommendation is that the student updates/reinstalls the latest YuJa Software Capture version to avoid similar lag issues going forward.
Possible Reason #2: The recording was created using the browser-based recorder. In such cases, playback lag can sometimes occur if the browser version or the system is not fully updated, or if the machine resources/network stability fluctuate during recording or playback.
Possible Reason #3: The machine used for the recording does not have sufficient CPU capacity to process the recording frames in real time.
The recommendation is that users avoid recording longer videos with Browser Capture Studio if the computer has less than 4 GB of available RAM. Having additional system resources available can help ensure that the recording frames are processed consistently throughout the recording.
Users can also help reduce the resource demands on the computer by lowering the recording resolution and frame rate before beginning a recording. The steps to make those adjustments are included in the screenshots below.
- Prior to recording, click on the following icon for the Display Settings.

- Change the Frame Rate to 15 FPS, and the Resolution to either 720p or 480p.
